Gyula Boros (Hungarian, born 1950)
The incredible technique is mainly the result of tireless study and self-mastery. This gifted painter had a remarkable inner feeling for the Dutch Masters of the famous Golden Age with its wealthy merchants and traveler adventures who sailed the oceans. Initially, at the start of his career, Boros painted mainly landscapes, but later he was attracted to paint minutely detailed and elaborate still life, combining his feeling for romanticism in the choice of the objects, with a masterful control of the fine brush technique. His paintings are the product of a dedicated and diligent labor and are nowadays highly esteemed by collectors all over the world.
