Lida, (Dutch)

Painting is her passion in life and not a single day passes by without her holding a brush. At an early age she became aware of her talent. Her paintings were very much appreciated and soon she discovered that she could impress people with her talent.

Later in her life she studied at the Academy of Art in Amsterdam. During this period she became fascinated by all the stories and secrets this city holds. This inspired her to paint Amsterdam using a very bright and joyful palette. She says: ‘I see the Amsterdam canal houses as if it were to be book shelves. Old books on a shelve and every book spine (canal house) holds its own secret and story’.
