The painter was born in Sassenheim in Holland.
Westerbeek studied at the’ Royal Academy of Art’ in The Hague and was also a student of Hubertus van Hove ( Who belonged to the famous painter family).
Although he devoted himself to the pastoral genre, he remained keen on typical Dutch landscapes.
Westerbeek is well known for his paintings with cows.
He had exhibitions in Amsterdam, Arnhem and The Hague.
