Born in 1936 in a small town in Hungary, Bubarnik was raised in rural Hungary on the family’s farm.
Compelled at a young age to express his innate artistic spirit, he was already sketching the fruits and insects in his surroundings by the age of ten.
Bubarnik gradually evolved into a learning artist, who became interested in the history and techniques of art.
His use of colour and his very precise way of painting distinguishes his work from that of any other artist.
He shows us the beauty of simple objects, and opens our eyes to the lush of nature. You can taste the fruits and he wants you to sweep off the dust from the old bottle.
His best story is that one morning he came into his studio and saw a butterfly on his painting; a deadly mistake, the painting was still wet!
