Could you be more blessed as a beginning artist when you are the son of the famous painter of the Dutch landscape with cattle Hendrik Savry ( 1823 - 1907)?
So Henri could not have a better teacher to tell him all the secrets of creating the typical Dutch landscape with cows and sheep.
He was born in Haarlem in 1871and died in the same city in 1942.
As a member of ’Arti et Amicitiae’ in Amsterdam he was able to arrange many exhibitions in Holland and Germany.
Henri had successfully exhibitions in 1891 in Rotterdam, Amsterdam in 1892, Arnhem1890 and 1893, The Hague1893 and Maastricht1890.
You can find his paintings in many Museums a.o. in the Haags Gemeente Museum and in the Frans Hals Museum in his native city Haarlem.
