Already as a schoolboy Juan Soler surprised everyone with his drawings. He followed the Academy of Fine Arts and perfected his techniques with private lessons.
Soler is one of the few existing artists who can bring their subjects to life with just a few brushstrokes. This perfect technique, combined with his predilection for the romantic mood of 19th century France, enabled him to produce work of enormous appeal.
He often journeyed to Paris where he also lived at various times. Here he was greatly inspired by the work of the impressionists and the distinctive atmosphere this city still exudes.
His passion for ‘women’ lends a special feature to his work; an elegantly clothed woman almost always occupies a position of prominence in his paintings. Soler received many distinctions on exhibitions in Spain and France.
He currently lives with his family on the Mediterranean coast.
His work is part of private collections in Europe, the U.S.A. and Japan.
