The painter was born in Haarlem in 1801 as a daughter of the painter Pieterz Barbiers III.
She was a pupil of her father.
The subjects she painted were flower bouquets and fruit still life.
She also made watercolours and lithographs.
She had exhibitions in Amsterdam from 1818-1830.
In 1823 she married the painter Pieter de Goeje.
