Salomon Leonardus Verveer studied at the’ Academy of Fine Art’ in The Hague. He was a pupil of B.J. van Hove.
He made journeys to Germany and France.He painted city scenes and harbour sights mainly in oil and watercolor.
He worked together with his brother Maurits Verveer and with P.G. Vertin.
He became a member of the Royal Academy in Amsterdam and was the teacher of a.o. J. Bles and J. weissenbruch.
His work is part of the collection of:
